The day

How your trip day goes

The flow below follows the program published by Blue Team Diving, the centre we recommend. The boat leaves Kaş Harbour at 10:00 and is back in the afternoon.

First time diving? This page is for certified divers. If you've never dived before, your program is the first dive: same boat, same day, one to one with an instructor. Go to the first dive in Kaş page →
  1. Meet at the harbour

You meet on the boat in Kaş Harbour; certification and logbook check, pre-dive briefing, then departure at 10:00.

  2. First dive

At the site the captain and instructors pick for that day's conditions.

  3. Break and swim

Sunshine and a swim: you spend your surface interval on the boat.

  4. Second dive

The day's second dive at a different site.

  5. Back to harbour

Back in the harbour in the afternoon; logbooks signed, a post-dive debrief closes the day.

Where do you dive?

The trip's targets: Kaş's sites for certified divers

The captain and instructors set the day's route by wind and sea; the sites below are examples of the region's regular favourites. No specific site is promised for a specific day.

Plane Wreck (C-47 Dakota)

≈ 22 mAdvanced

A transport plane sunk at 22 m as an artificial reef, Kaş's icon. A 29 m wingspan; cockpit and wings are legendary for photos, and the cargo bay is entered with a guide.

The Canyon

≈ 5–40 mAdvanced

Glide between walls and passages; big pelagics can appear in the deep.

Uluburun III Wreck

≈ 15–18 mCertified

A replica of the Uluburun, the oldest shipwreck known, placed at 18 m in Hidayet Bay, with a scene at 15 m recreating the moment of its discovery. Home to groupers.

Neptune Reef

≈ 7–35 mAll levels (upper reef)

Colourful sponges, moray and octopus dens: the classic Kaş reef dive.

Joining

What you'll need

  • Your dive certification (SSI, PADI, CMAS; all systems accepted)
  • Your logbook or digital record (left at home? message the centre in advance)
  • Been away from diving a while? Start with a refresher dive
  • Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen; the gear is on the boat
A non-diving partner or friend can come along as a boat guest: boat and snorkelling included. Ask the centre about the terms and the rate.
More than one day

If you're diving several days in Kaş

Most certified divers who come to Kaş plan for several days, not one; the region's variety of sites deserves it. Blue Team Diving offers multi-day packages, and the per-dive price drops on packages; bringing your own gear also gets a discounted rate. We don't print figures here: send the centre your dates and gear situation and you'll get both exact prices together.

Day Trip FAQ

About the trip

I don't have my certification card with me. Can I dive?
Your digital record (SSI/PADI app, e-card) is enough. If you can't reach any record, message the centre in advance; they'll try to verify through the certification system.
Can I dive the plane wreck?
The plane wreck (C-47 Dakota) lies at 22 metres and calls for advanced certification and experience. If you hold Open Water, gaining deep-dive experience with the advanced course first is the usual advice. The wreck is dived as one of the trip's two dives, when the day's conditions and the group's level allow.
Is the price different with my own equipment?
Yes, you get a discounted rate with your own gear. Send the centre your date and gear situation and you'll get both exact prices together.
I haven't dived in years. Can I join a trip directly?
After a long break a refresher dive with an instructor is recommended first: your skills come back, and you join the next trip with confidence.
Are night dives or Nitrox available?
Night dives can be arranged for certified divers. For night dives, Nitrox and other special requests, ask the centre about current availability and rates.
How big are the dive groups?
Small, guided groups. Ask the centre about group size for your date.
What happens in bad weather?
Safety comes first. If the sea doesn't allow it, the trip is moved to another day or routed to sheltered sites. That's one more reason we suggest planning several days in Kaş: if one day slips, the program flexes.
