Fethiye's diving character

From calm bays to sheer walls

Fethiye's gulf sits under the shelter of the Ölüdeniz and Twelve Islands geography: bays protected from the wind, shallow and calm training waters, and just offshore, walls like Afkule dropping straight into the blue. That dual character gives first-timers and certified divers room in the same region.

We don't run dives in Fethiye ourselves; we work with the region's partner centres. Never dived? We route you to a centre that's great with first-timers. Certified? A day-trip program. After a licence? The centre whose course schedule fits your plan. Information and guidance are free.

Fethiye FAQ

Getting here, staying and the program

How do I get to Fethiye?
The closest airport is Dalaman, about 45 minutes by car from Fethiye town. Shuttle, bus and car-hire options run from the airport. Coming from the Antalya side, the D400 coastal road leads to Fethiye.
Where should I stay for diving?
Çalış, Ölüdeniz and Fethiye town centre are the most common bases, and dive programs are reachable from all three. Tell us where you're staying and we'll suggest the partner centre whose meeting point suits you; place and time are confirmed when the centre reserves your spot.
It's my first dive. Is Fethiye a good choice?
Very. Shallow, sheltered, calm sites like Aquarium Bay and Dalyan Bay are the classics for try-dives and training. We route you to a partner centre experienced with first-timers, and the instructor stays with you one-to-one.
Can I know the dive site in advance?
Do tell us your wishes upfront; we clear them with the partner centre. For your safety, the final route is set by the centre based on that day's wind and sea; no specific site is promised for a specific day.
Fethiye or Kaş?
Both are great, with different characters: Fethiye's sheltered bays suit first dives and training, and here we connect you with a partner centre. Kaş, with sites like the plane wreck (C-47 Dakota) and the Canyon, is a certified diver's favourite; our Kaş guide introduces you directly to the local dive centre. Tell us where you're staying and your level, and we'll pick the region together.
