Kaş isn't called Türkiye's diving capital for nothing: little river inflow, a seabed that drops away fast and water that stays clear all year. The Dakota C-47 transport plane sunk as an artificial reef, the Canyon where you glide between walls, and Uluburun III, a replica of the Bronze Age wreck placed for divers, add up to a menu few single regions can match.
Its character differs sharply from Fethiye's. Where Fethiye's sheltered bays and shallow training water make it a comfortable region for a first dive or a course, Kaş, with its deep walls and wrecks, is a certified diver's favourite. Kaş has sheltered bays too (Hidayet Bay, Limanağzı), but what the region really offers is depth and topography.
